Terms And Conditions

Collection We need to receive your flowers as soon as possible after your wedding to achieve the best results. We offer a collection service throughout Fife, and we have a drop-off point in Ferry Road, Edinburgh. The ideal is for us to receive your flowers within 24 hours of your wedding, however we realise this is not always possible. Individual arrangements can be made to receive flowers from outwith the Fife or Edinburgh area. Please call for details – Telephone 01333 313275.

Flowers should be kept watered and cool (but not put in a fridge or freezer!). Hand tied bouquets can be put in water in a vase. Flowers in oasis should be kept well watered without wetting the petals if possible. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the wedding flowers are kept in the best possible condition prior to collection. Preservation can only preserve the flowers in the state in which they are received... it does not revive damaged or squashed bouquets!

Payment We ask for a £50 non-returnable deposit for one bouquet. Additional bouquets will incur an extra charge (to be discussed at time of booking). The deposit comes off the cost of your final picture(s).Payment is due before we collect your flowers to cover initial costs. You can now pay your deposit online using our secure PayPal method – just go to the prices and payment link and follow the on-screen instructions.

The second stage or interim payment is due when the frame is chosen and the design of the picture finalised. This is usually approximately 50% of the final cost. The balance is due when the finished picture is either collected or delivered.

Delivery A charge of £15 will be added for deliveries more than 30 miles from Pittenweem. For areas further than 70 miles the pictures will be posted using Royal Mail's special delivery service. The cost is dependent on weight and will be advised once the picture is completed.

It should be stressed that preserved flower pictures are very fragile and wherever possible should be either collected or delivered by hand. VIVA DESIGN cannot be held responsible for any damage incurred during delivery by a third party.

Normal turnaround of preserved wedding bouquets is 12 weeks but it may take longer at busier times of the year. We can occasionally speed up the process if the finished picture is required for a special Birthday surprise or similar event.

The final look of your flowers The preserving process can darken some flowers and some flowers are easier to preserve than others. Generally you can expect a degree of colour change, for example a red rose will become a very deep red, whereas, pink or white roses will retain their original colour to begin with but will 'mellow' over time to give the arrangement an antique look. It is possible to enhance the colour of certain flowers and this can be discussed when the flowers are dry and when the frame is chosen. It is always best to discuss your choice of flowers with us before ordering your bouquet from the florist.
